However as an "album" on its own it can be a bit weak. A bit of a divisive album and despite its low rank, I simply adore the heck out of the first two tracks listed. Standout tracks such as Recoil, Ignite, Surrender and The Hand that Holds the Truth. The raw sound journey of Karelia is amazing and is a Volume 100 requirement from beginning to end. MONO's first LP and showed us glimmers of what was to come. Standout tracks such as Karelia (Opus 2), The Kidnapper Bell, L'America and Human Highway. Memorie Dal Futuro almost carries this release of EPs single-handed. Standout tracks such as Finlandia, Memorie Dal Futuro, Gone, Rainbow and Little Boy (1945 - Future). Such a brilliant album to absorb in the middle of the night with nothing more than headphones and darkness.Ĩ. I love Sabbath with all of my heart, but I know some people skip it often. Standout tracks such as Where Am I, A Speeding Car, Loco Tracks and Halo. The crescendos in the last track specifically are very sweeping. I'm actually a big fan of the songs Stellar and The Last Scene as they remind me a bit of the earlier albums listed above. Standout tracks such as Death in Rebirth, Requiem for Hell and Ely's Heartbeat.
Should ideally be paired with the sister album, but that can be difficult to recommend on its own initially. Personal favourites are Elysian Castles and Where We Begin. This was my go-to MONO album for a very long time and there is something primal and superb about the opening track. Standout tracks such as A Heart Has Asked for the Pleasure, Yearning and Moonlight. This overtook the album directly below after repeated listens over the past decade. Everyone who dips their toe into MONO deserves to give this album a listen. Standout tracks are Trailer 3 and Trailer 5. MONO worked in tandem with Katsuhiko Maeda (more commonly known as World's End Girlfriend) to produce a wonderful album of majestic sound. Palmless Prayer / Mass Murder Refrain (2005) Too many personal favourites, but the one-two combo of Ode & The Sky Remains the Same as Ever is memorable for the bleak atmosphere that comes across as one dives down it.Ģ.
